KAYAKAPALOOZA XIIi - ONLINE

The Kayakapalooza series started many years ago to promote kayak fishing in the Midwest.  It has grown substantially and requires a diversified fishing approach for success.  There are four basic species involved and you have 4 months hours to catch them!  $5 entry fee for online event to pay for administrative TourneyX costs.  $25 for the tournament. Catch 3 catfish (blue, channel, flathead), 3 bass, 3 bluegill (sunfish) and 3 crappie.   The longest stringer wins!

20% of the field is paid out.  There is one division.

Safety:

1) During competition, every Competitor must have all required Coast Guard safety equipment, (e.g., light source, whistle or other audible signal device, Coast Guard-approved, chest-type life preserver [PFD]). See www.uscgboating.org/.

2) PFD Usage — At all times, except as described below (Rule 15.C. PFD Wear Exceptions) while on the water during Competition hours, Competitor must wear a fastened USCG-certified vest-style PFD or float jacket. A belt-style PFD, even one that deploys as a vest, is not permitted during Competition. When an infraction, as described above, is verified by the Tournament Director, the Competitor is disqualified from participation in the Event.

3) PFD Wear Exceptions — Competitor assumes responsibility for all consequences of removing his PFD. Competitor may cease competition and remove the PFD while his watercraft is beached, anchored or adrift only if doing so creates no unsafe condition. Competitor must put on and securely fasten the PFD before going underway or resuming competition.
